Only fished it once and it was OK, but as I haven't been inclined to go back suggests there are better options. Lake is nice enough but I got the impression that many of the better pegs (alongside the railway line) are regularly stitched up, I fished on the opposite side on a day session and had a few out to just under 20lb which I was happy enough with. There is a lot of passing traffic with dog walkers kids on bikes etc, wouldn't be happy doing the night there on my own, but maybe I'm just a bit soft

Fished it a few times over the years. Don't leave anything in the car and keep an eye on your gear. Other than that it's a decent water for the money. I would fish it and wouldn't be worried.

To most it is, as it's a typical park lake. It's not my scene either, but anyone fishing it shouldn't really be worried.
