Im in the market for new set of rods, currently have 3lb x45 longbows but started doing alot of solid bag fishing. Anything more than 22 wraps is a push as feel like im going to snap the rod, there quite soft on the tip.

Im looking at the new style Aircurves in 3.25lb. Anyone have any reviews or oute in same price range £200-300 per rod.

Blanks are the same as the mk1 just the cosmetics that have changed so Greys claim.

The Aircurves at 3.25 are more of an all round rod and a very good one at that. If you want to be casting bags long ranges, might be worth looking at aircurve in 3.5.

If you aren't wed to a 12ft rod the Terry Hearn Distance rods could be worth a look, about £220 a rod.
Free Spirit S Lite Ive also worth a look, around £280 a rod but a lovely range.

Iv the mk 1 .

Same blanks as mk 2 just different eyes and fittings .

Iv the 3. 25 and can hit 120 with them . Proper decent slim blanks and good playing action 👍🏼

13ft 3.5 mk1 aircurves are a stunning all round rod. Right up there with the 13 aviator i replaced them with.

Id go the 13ft route mate
