Hi all...needing a new set of rods and can't decide what would be best. I fish a small lake where longest chuck is approx 80 yards. I tend to stick a small mesh bag on to mask hook. Ideally want a rod that'll be ok with that but also enjoyable to play fish on. Been looking at ESP onyx 3 or 3.25lb, Greys Aircurves (second hand) 3 or 3.25lb or lastly Free Spirit CTX 3.25lb all 12ft.
Out of tbe ones here what would be best...Any users of these on here can help I'd appreciate it?

It would be the aircurves for me in 3lb.

Can't compare the 2 you mention but can highly recommend the Aircurves. Brilliant all round rods and if I manage to damage mine I would not hesitate in getting another

Not seen much feedback on the ESP Onyx, however the CTX and Aircurve are both very highly regarded and you wont be disappointed with either.

Can't comment on the other 2 but I have a spare set of 10ft ctx rods that I use sometimes (had them before I got my 10ft slites) I really like them and they can handle 80 yards with a pva bag easily. They play fish lovely aswell only reason I got my 10ft slites is I got them in 12ft and liked them so much else I would of bothered tbh
