30lb whiplash with med spomb -make sure its well wetted often.
just add a 50lb leader if rocking the big one.

50lb OK but you will lose a little distance with extra diameter when casting.

Yep I use the TF Gear banana braid in 30lb straight though and have never had it snap and I'm using it with the TF Gear air bomb which opens differently to a spomb and puts a lot more shock through the braid

The banana braid is good stuff. I used it for a long time, but got seduced by the dark side of round profile braids. Can't say they are any better. Edit. The thinner round profile braid is better in a strong side wind. I would still use a 50lb leader though. Just to be on the safe side.

i've always used straight thru braid with no issues
I bought some braid from a Chinese website yesterday.. 8 strand daiwa 25lb bs..
£10.00 for 1000 yards.
God knows what it will be like🙂

Gardner kinetic spod braid for me, if going straight through,(up too 100yrds, if going over that a shock leader goes on) never had a problem with it ,it is however a thicker braid, think it's .30mm
