What do people use cooking on the bank, on the lake where I am a member we are allowed to use barbecue and fires
I am ok with small gas fire for the kettle but looking at a medium sized barbecue style for cooking up grub with charcoal not gas but can't seem to find anything suitable.
Have seen a couple anglers in the angling press using a small style types on the floor.
Or have you made your own.
I have a old metal ammo book about the size of 2 shoes boxes using this with some mess will work.

I have a relatively cheap foldable briefcase style BBQ that I got a few years ago from Aldi. I use that with the bags if charcoal (the instant bags that you light directly) and 1 of those bags fits in it perfectly. Does the job for me

I have the ridgemonkey bbq, with the small bags you light.
Prob not the best for the money but the pack away size is tiny and it can also run on gas.

It runs on gas as well as charcoal? I've not seen those. Does it have a burner in it or does it take a Ridgemonkey stove?

It runs on gas, charcoal or can be used as a firepit (it's raised off the ground).
There is a tube that goes through the middle with a thread to make it gas.
It's a great bit of kit, I just wish it had a lid. I might try and fashion one using a metal bin lid.
