Hello,
I have built many power barrows using wheelchair type motors, these have reverse and use it to drive barrow out of the van fully loaded.
I have a Transit custom and use a motorcycle ramp to load and unload.
Have never had a problem with driving up or down the ramp.
I have a new 24volt Triporter I have built if you want to see how easy it is.
I currently use a MK4 S evo that i converted 5 years ago, it will easily carry 100Kg for over 4Km, this drives up or down the ramp with ease.

I have finally completed my wheel hub motor conversion, the retro fit brackets for the folks took a while are an issue with some barrows I had a pair machined along with a throttle post. I housed my ebike controller in a box from Farnell stuck four sockets on it for Wheel, Battery and throttle so far, plus a four push button panel allowing for braking cruise control reverse and head lights.

A lot of very good info in this Facebook group regarding the different barrow conversions and how good they are.

Private group so will need to be accepted before you can view:
