I have just watched a Carpology review of Deepers latest innovation .

A new device to increase the range of usage of the deeper, whilst attached to an arm on the back of a bait boat .Whilst I admit it's all very clever and technical etc

Will we now see people boating their baits further and further and thus cutting off vast areas of lakes ?

I will say it's not the boat or deepers fault it's the lack of etiquette often displayed by those using them .

Also then there are issues of bite indication at range etc .

I'm not being technophobic.. I just see it as causing problems .

Seeing as RT4 owners have a potential range of 400-600m I think the Deeper is the least of your worries

Aftermarket range extenders for Deepers have been available for some time now - they're also a lot cheaper than the kit Deeper are releasing / have just cottoned onto . .

Bait boats without GPS can only be fished at a certain visible range anyway so I wouldn't worry too much - most anglers fishing beyond this are on inland seas anyway where its a necessity - not carp puddles

All tech will be abused by some on some waters - if it irritates you just fish elsewhere

It doesn't bother me and won't until some one carves my swim up .

As I said it's not the boat it's the *****s that use them ... that's not a generalisation

Folk probably said the same when the first fixed spool reels were introduced.

Fish a lake with decent people, you'll be fine whatever the tech. Fish a lake with idiots .......
