It looks like I'll be needing some long range rods for my new syndicate, 120-140yards needed at times. Looking to pay up to £150 per rod, are there any suggestions? Nothing too poker stiff. Tia.

Free Spirit CTX 13 foot 3.5lb. I used to have some, thet fast we'll but were still nice to play fish on. I tried the SU version too but they were too stiff for me. I only sold them as I upgraded to Aviatiors.

Tx2 almost half your budget and will do what you need. When your going mega distance and hitting rods hard eventually one will break. At least it's not a painful process with a rod under £100 quid.

This, the 13ft are casting machines for budget rods not worth to pay more then the Soniks price
FS cts would be the next logical step up

Yeah the shimano TX range is a good shout, im not really a big caster but still manage to get a good distance when using TX2's

Hi m8,
I was looking for the same thing last year tho i was looking to rech 150 meters. I tried out a bunch of rods. The rods i was using were the sonik 13ft dominator xrs i could cast stupid far distances with them but they were not worth it, if you ask me they were on the heavy side and stiff as hell did not enjoy the fish playing at all so i sold them, had some prologic fast water after that also on the heavy side. After a few months i got nash x series 12ft 3.25 in an exchange not knowing what im getting, they were a good deal. I tried them out and my god they cast sublime are very light rods and the fish play is really nice. It was hard for me to find a rod that suits me, as there are not alot of options in shops in Serbia so luck plays a big factor. So i use some daiwa retractable rods for everything up to 80 meter and the nash ones for eveything above and beyond. The are both slim and light crisp rods.
So thats how i covered all ranges and were both good deals money wise. I would like to mention that i am a fan of sonik rods i had a few models before but just not that dominator x rs range in 13ft.

Maybe look at used rods, 450 would get a set of hearns 12ft 9inch, older century sp.

Another one for the TX2. I have them in 3, 2,75 and 2 floater.
