This not for me but someone else..!

Anyone got one ,and have had a v2 brolly to compare,real world ...is it higher than the v2 inside..

Its the same frame as a standard frontier so definitely more head room than a V2 brolly. If they are thinking of purchasing a front and groundsheet to go with it then I would buy a standard frontier you get a better material and cost isn't much difference when you start adding extras on that come standard with a normal frontier.

Also I would say if you took the front storm poles and groundsheet out of a standard frontier it wouldn't weigh much if any more than the light either in a like for like spec😉

Is there any benefit from 20k rated fabric?

10k fabric dries out quicker (let's be honest, the 20k fabric that's sprayed with a rubber coating gets condensation badly and takes much longer than the 10k fabric to dry out).

For me the 10k fabric has so many benefits over the 20k fabric that I wouldn't even look at the product that has 20k.

The only possible positive that I see from the 20k fabric is it completely blacks out sunlight which some may like but personally I don't like having to use a torch in the day to find stuff.

I've not had any condensation at all with my frontier, ( with the skull cap )
I've not noticed a difference with drying time compared to any other bivvy either but this could Purley be down to the fact I've not paid much attention to the time it takes to dry.
The water beads off of it very well.

Just weighed my Frontier in the bag but striped back to just the bivvy - It went 7.5kg.

I may have one available in the Classifieds if any takers. 😉
