Does anyone know if Prestige do a puncture proof front tyre for the power porter?
First time out this year and I thought I'd developed a flat, turned out it just hadn't had any air put in it since last year and all sorted with a car tyre 12v compressor pump.
However if it does go I can see it will be a right propper PIA to sort out, so I'm now wondering if I can buy a puncture proof front tyre to design out any future nightmares.
Appreciate any feedback.

When I had the mk4s evo same frame as the power porter . I bought the front wide boy version wheel from them it had an inner tube but the tyre was Kevlar and that was their puncture proof wheel version they sold . Give them a ring to see if they still do it but I'm sure they did bring out a new wheel that had no inner and was just a solid rubber tyre like the thinner wheel version they do

Thanks mate I'm going to give em a bell next week, I have the mk6 24v, doesn't seem to have changed much from the latest mk8, so hopefully if there's something around for the current model it might fit mine fingers crossed.

Think thats a non starter with the hub motors. Slime is your best bet.

Weirdly enough I loaded up my barrow yesterday ready to push onto the van. Battery was dead so took it off and noticed the front tyre looked a bit flat (honestly thought it was solid 😂
found the valve on it and put the pump on it and it showed something like 11psi so I pumped it up to 25. I've had the barrow about 4 years so never put air in it until yesterday. Replaced the rear wheels for solid ones after getting a puncture in one after only a couple of trips. When I realised the front was a pump up tyre the first thing I thought about was changing it for a solid one but not sure they do one. The tyre certainly looks decent enough to try help against punctures but there's always that chance and you know it will go when you are a million miles away from your motor

That is exactly what will happen isn't it just when you dont expect it and miles away from your car.
Getting to this place over the weekend I came through a very bumpy narrow and long woodland path. At one point I thought it had a puncture, but if there was a discarded nail or something I'm sure it would penetrate that tyre.
So are we saying that tyre repair slime in an aerosol can is the only solution in a flat situation?
I must admit, I can't see any easy way of taking that motorised hub apart that runs through the centre of the tyre.
If so what a bad design, I'm going to call them on Tuesday and see what they can do.
Bit like birth control this isn't it, do something about it while you can or face the threat of a disaster lol.

My powerporter is.knocking on 14 years old.
I used to worry about the front wheel but not only never a puncture but I think I've only ever pumped it up once or twice.
A small tri wheel got a puncture in it once so I popped a bit of slime in , inflated it and gave it a spin and that's held for years.
Maybe just get some.slime in for peace of.mind. we have it in all our bikes and it really works

I've looked at my power Porter front wheel, and wondered how I'd get it off if there's was a puncture 🤔😁

Better stash a can of that stuff in the car then, but you would think they'd offer a solid front tyre for it in this day and age. I'll see what they suggest on Tuesday. Thanks everyone.
