Been using a Fox horizon Xt 13ft spod rod for 4 years but the joints worn away..
I'm looking at replacing with a Free spirit launcher 13ft but torn between models.
The SPM is the spomb rod renamed after fox bought spomb out,
Or the LRS (long range)
Most of my fishing is at 110-130 yards, i pretty much only fish the same syndicate lake all year round these days. Any 13ft launcher users (or original spomb rod) can advise on which is best suited.
I'm not interested replies about fixing the worn joins guys, researches it to death already. Thanks.

What are weight are you casting mostly, spod or spomb? I'm also looking for a suitable rod, only one I've tried was the 12ft longbow df x45 spod and marker and must say with a midi spomb it will do your distances easily with little effort and could do a lot more, didn't try it with a large spomb unfortunately.

I used to have an eclass gold lrs and it was a beast of a rod, took some compressing to get the best out of it. I sold it in the end and bought a century spodding machine spod rod which i prefer.

Thanks Stuart. I've heard the fox xt 13ft described as a beast of a rod but it's been spot on for me. I suppose it's all relative to individuals.

Been Using the 13ft Hi S Spomb rod for a good few years now built by kev clayton. Prefect for 130 -150. But Its a really heavy rod and any arm becomes tired pretty quickly if heavy baiting

Sorry it was the medium one and I only cast it with boilies. If the longbow hadn't had minima guides I would have bought one and may still get one anyway.

I have 12ft lrs with the reel set set up for my arms and can do 140 yards with a medium spomb with boiled or particle.
Also have a hi s spomb rod from Johnson Ros in 12ft and it goes further but with less effort.
