So you go to your day ticket water and the bailiff asks you are you paying for a 1 rod or 2 rod ticket. Question... I've never understood this but you are paying to fish the lake so why do we get charged extra for using an extra rod? Why should it change the price to whether I'm using 1 or 2 of my rods? They are not renting me out any rods they are letting me cast out into there water with MY own rods...

I think it's more to do with discounting for those that only want to use one rod than charging more for two. Most tickets have the expectation of two rods so if you only have one you dont pay full price.
