Hello I'm looking to buy a new set of rods, only looking for 2 rods, I'm looking to spend around 500 max iv been looking at the terry Hearn classics in 3.25tc. I'm fishing up to and around 100 yards max. Anyone got any other suggestions?

I've just got the cfx spod and I really like it. If the other rods in the cfx range are as good I would be going towards those. Plus tackle box customer service is brilliant

Another vote for the tackle box cfx and custom price isn't much more than the standard builds.

I would go for the T hearns in 2.75, unless your fishing consistently around 100yards, then your original choice.

Maybe he wants new rods, I've got the 3lb tc classics which have 40mm rings and prefer them to the 3.25tc 50mm ringing which I recently sold. The 3lbtc will do 100 yards with 2.5oz to 3oz leads and single hook baits no problem if needed but if you are regularly fishing at that range and want to use small bags and heavier line the 3.25tc may be a better choice.

Love them, wish they would do an 11ft 2.5tc version for floater fishing and lighter leads with 8/10 lb line.

Ordered a set of CFX customs myself of the recommendations on this site, very happy with the service so far and a lot cheaper than I expected.

Yeah I just fancy an upgrade really, I have a set of 3lb's atm they are nice rods just feel abit soft for the longer chucks. Probably end up going to look at some in store see how they feel with my reels on etc
