Just wondering if anyone has bought them yet and if so any good?

I've got the solar universal pod and the legs on the are captive ones. Seem decent I'm waiting for the 3 rod buzz bars to come out and I will replace the p1 ones with them.

Very similar to jag design with the no loss thumbscrews, i love the look of the new points on them. Ive got the captive 3 rod buzz bars on back order for my universal pod which has captive banksticks for the legs. I never liked the locking sleeves that they used to use, thumbscrews are much better. Solar have really upped there game with there new pods. I never really rated the build quality on there previous gear but the new stuff is superb.

I have loads of their p1 stuff. Recently got the anti twists sticks and stabilizer. The travelite are perfect for singles, but no good for buzzbars. Never had any issues with the collars.
One thing I think solar are missing a trick on is not having digging points on their sticks

Theres quite a few times when ive struggled to undo the collars as they seized up, had to pit some muold grips on them and damaged the knurling.

Got rid of all of my sticks with auger type tips including excavators and just carry a jag digging stick and use lightweight alloy sticks and 2 rod bars most of the time. Have a stainless pod for its stability to use on concrete or platforms.

Thank you all. I have had the original solar sticks for years and fancied a change, however, the collars on the p1 sticks did not look great too me. I wonder if solar went back to the old skool look because it was so popular.

Good to see Solar learning a think or two from jag lol, and maybe nicking the alignment idea from the buzzbars but oh well

Digging sticks make life a lot easier, I just wish the people who design them would take a cursory glance at a couple of millenias worth of tool design principles when they made them.
Or is the big stud in the middle there just to sell you another bit of plasic
