Just wondering how you bait boat users store your boats at the lake when not in use? Do you disconnect the batteries, remove the lid, store in a dry place? Been told not to store overnight in bivvy as it may be humid?

I've just bought an SB3 Pro X to use on one specific lake this year. I love the place so I'll be visiting for a few more years. I bought a rucksack waterproof cover off ebay for £4.99 which stretches over it perfectly. I wasn't penny pinching it's just Carp Technics dont sell one yet.

I used to disconnect my old microcat batteries when the boat wasn't being used, but this one has lithium iron batteries which are supposed to last a week so I'm not sure now.

I think a lot of the circuitry is sealed these days on some of the better made boats so there might not be so many issues with humidity.

I just got a Carp Royal Baron and it comes with a rucksack but have been told several different ways to store while on the bank and just wanted to hear from people with experience.

I'd get a stretch cover mate to keep the worst of the rain out, leave it on a mat or a tripod when not in use and take it in the bivvy after dark. Not much more you need to do really.

I try and generally open up the battery compartment to let it breath and dry out, you often get condensation inside the boat especially with the Li batteries.

I tend to keep the battery lid off but keep the boat in the bivvy. I also make sure never to let the boat stand in direct sunlight as they can get very hot which I assume will not be good for the batteries, electronics etc. I also have rt4 boat cover that stretches around the boat and this is great for leaving it in the swim even when it's raining.

Just ordered a Bergen cover that i can cover it with. I will leave it in my walled unhooking mat during the day and then move to my bivvy in the evening.
