Why are so many threads and responses on this forum so poorly written?
The lack of punctuation, and use of poor grammar is astounding.

The comma after 'punctuation' but before 'and' adds nothing to your sentence by the way. It isn't required in a list of two, the 'and' is sufficient
On a serious note, carp fishing is a pastime where the educated and/or academic are the minority. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It's fairly inclusive and accessible to most people from all walks and of all trades init!
The best carp angler that I know is in scaffolding. He can barely read but is better at scaffolding than i am at reading or writing
