Sorry for a boring thread but I'm hoping somebody might be able to give me some advice or any info they have
Im just about to buy an toslon X boat and I'm trying to decide on which add ons to get .
X boat with x pilot and deeper chirp internally fitted
Or
X boat with toslon 740 fish finder
I narrowed it down to these . I'm trying to get a cost effective setup , if I was happy to spend whatever I would be getting ray marine but i decided to draw a line
Does anyone have any input of the setups mentioned which might help me make the decision?

I appreciate the reply however I have already mentioned that I would not be getting ray marine as I had already drawn a line with cost

740 has autopilot built in, chirp doesnt. Xboat is superb btw 👍

I do realise that , that's why I would get x pilot with the setup if I got the deeper . I think I put that on the original post

One thing to consider is the fact that yiu could use the deeper separate of your Baitboat as a quick marker rod, without taking the whole boat.

I made my mind up today . I'm going to get the deeper chirp . I will be getting it fitted internally just for ease of use . It did cross my mind to do what you said . I will give this setup a go and see how I get on . Could always upgrade to ray marine in the future

I have a well spec'd rt4 and specificially didn't want a tablet to use it...... hence rt4 with auto pilot, fishfinder and i use the chirp if I want to map.
it's a grat choice and tbh, looking at the latest mapping kit it pays to sit back till your looking to update as it's changing rapidly.

On the sonar side there is very little in it tbh. Where the difference in accuracy will come in the toslon tf740 wins hands down.
The x pilot drives to spot and drops the bait on the move. The tf740 auto drive actually move within a meter and reverse/stop etc to the exact spot (within 1m) to drop your bait. Their gps unit is better then x drive gps unit.
For the money difference the chirp/x pilot probably wins for value but all in one gps/auto drive toslon is a better unit over all.
