Afternoon, my rt4 keeps playing up. At first I thought it was user error and to a degree it was. Having had it a while now I would say it doesn't work more than it works.
Paying the best part of 4K you would expect it to be faultless.
I updated it to the new realvision 3d and then it wouldn't go past about 40 yards without loosing signal on all the different echo modes.
I hadn't used it since as it just wasn't worth it. Having noticed they released an new update I got the boat out to do the update.
The echo now has no power to it whatsoever. No light, no voltage display but the motors work.
I took the battery tray out and one of the wires just fell off (wasn't even soldered just held by the heat shrink)
I've resoldered the wire but still dead
Got hold of Carplounge yesterday to be told no one could help me until tomorrow but it would be multiple weeks before it could get fixed.
Been trying to get hold of them all day today as no one called me back only to keep getting the same message that they can't take calls.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
I just want to get it fixed and get rid of the poxy thing.

Sorry that I can be of no help however, this is what makes me lean more towards an X-Boat or UKBB for my next purchase as I have heard this type of situation too many times with Carplounge.
Whilst at the Big One show at the Weekend, I asked 2 different English employees or reps on the stand where the UK service centre was and neither one could answer and it took a German chap to inform me that it is in Basildon, not what I expect from such a company.
I hope you get a satisfactory outcome and will be watching this post for updates

You have probably done this already but if there is no power the fuse may have blown especially if the wire was loose. I have to agree with the last post. Sounds great having a 3 year warranty but you can never get hold of them and when you do you just get fobbed off with lies. My CL wynchcam stopped working after just a few weeks. It took them 3 months to sort it and I lost count of how many emails I sent, phone calls etc. I was told repeatedly that it was on its way but it was all lies. CL really need to sort this out as they must be losing business! Good luck - hope you get it sorted.

I can't see any fuses inside the boat. The v4 doesn't have visible ones the the v3

I have a V3 and I also had several issues and it has ended up being my most disappointing piece of fishing tackle I own because of the issues.
When it worked, it was exceptionally good.
No need for me to go into detail on this forum, but I am already 2 months with an unusable boat and now it is finally en-route to Germany for repair, it looks like it will be at least another month or 2 before I get it back.
In hindsight, I should never have purchased a boat that did not have full service facilities and support from the UK.

The few times mines worked as it should it's brilliant but that is very few.
I'm going to France next month so that will be another trip I won't have it.
The uk centre was meant to be doing warranty work etc but I don't think that's ever going to happen

There must be a new update. There was one Friday which I downloaded, but having a mess about tonight and there seems to be another for range etc

I'm dropping it to the Essex shop on Monday and they are going to try fix it in the uk, from
What I believe they are very limited to what they can fix though.
They are struggling to get bits to build new boats so if it needs a part it could be quite a wait
