Has anyone ever made a homemade liquid attractant using supermarket ingredients? How did you make it? Was it effective on out on the banks? I'm trying to think of ways to save money instead of spending loads on branded liquid. Also it would be quite nice to catch some carp on something I've made myself..

Loads of options in the supermarket . Soy and oyster sauces etc etc . Same attractors that are used at a fraction of the cost . I've used them to enhance baits as a glug many times . Are they an edge ....who knows just give it a go and see if your results improve

I don't know if they sell it in the UK but Maggi Nr3 contains 18% protein, 2 superb taste enhancers and other stuff what makes it a great attractor.

You can also use fructose syrup, honey, squid fish sauce, etc
Your imagination it the limit.
But always check the ingredient list ok the back of the bottles. You will learn a lot about the quality of the liquids.
