Going to France Mid April and just considering what bait to take.
Currently got 75k of a decent fish meal boilie with 50% milk proteins but got a nagging doubt about it possibly not being as effective as some other types of boilie. the blurb says it's an all year round bait. The average temperature where I'm going is 4c at night and 15C in the day.
Not interested in people recommendations for a bait as it's either this or a nut based boilie (another I'm confident in).
Your thoughts please?

Fishmeals will do fine. But you can take both and see what best for that venue.

A lad I know is over there now using a bait with a high percentage of milks and is taking the place apart. Plenty of fish to just under 70lb.

Of course you could have it all confiscated.....I'm going end of April and we are ordering bait for our arrival.

Which bait is this ? thats an unusually high level of milk proteins to have in what would be classed as a fishmeal boilie.

Are you planning on taking/using 75kg ? Im there same time but thinking I'll only take 20kg max due to it probably still being fairly cold. Maize and particles are available on site for us and I'd imagine using more of that than boilies. I've taken more boilies before that time of year and end up bring most of it back home.

I can't remember if it has oil it in, Damo or his brother are better placed to answer that. baits change and evolve with whats available.
