Hi, has anyone used the new Daiwa X45 infinites / Not DF - in 3.25lb, any feedback on the at all much appreciated regarding casting distances, weights and fish playing. Thanks 🙏

Long term infinity fan but not a fan of the df build. Would love to see the 13ft 3.75tc built with fuji dps seats and titanium k series guides in 40 to 12mm advanced pattern.

Got the 12ft 3.25
Never spent that sort of money on rods before but thought sod it treat yerself. But my god they are good (well I think they are)
1st cast felt a total difference right away ( soft compared to my old ones ) but can Chuck it further with less effort
Very light compared to my old rods
Fast recovery on cast
Look fantastic also
Only thing so far, never had a fish on them

I've got the Infinity Evo Alps in 3.75tc and absolutely love them. There's a need to be careful of hookpulls when combined with braided lines, but with normal monofilament I've had no issues at all

lovely blank, absolutely hate the alps waveform on it though, felt very uncomfortable with a basia SLD ( friends set up ) I'd love some customs but getting the blanks appears to be a non starter

Yes , that heavy alps reel seat seems an odd choice to put on such a lightweight blank.

Daiwa certainly know how to make a rod blank. The blanks are superb but often ruined with poor choice of guides and reel seat. Its a shame you cant just get the blank and get a good rod builder to do the rest.

Johnson Ross do a couple of Daiwa blanks for customs. The X36 or whatever looks good.
