Hi Chaps,
Does anyone know if there are any fish / Carp in the lakes either side of Bathgate Silica Sands on the A534 Congleton Rod just off the M6 by Sandbach..... or are these purely for the use in the quarry / a result from the sand quarry and contain no Fish....
If they do contain Carp i think i might be able to pull a few strings and be allowed to fish these...
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I thought it was for employee fishing only, but I could be wrong.

Arclid??employees only or it used to be as they don't want anglers on.Im sure it is something to do with insurance and it's really deep apparently

Yes it is Arclid....i have done a bit of investigating myself as one of my friends knows the owner of Tax mere, and apparently there is are quiet a few large carp in there.....
If its for employees only i work for a different company under the Bathgate group unbrella so may qualify / be eligible to fish as an employee....

Had a quick look at this today as I'm always interested in new waters in and around Congleton.
If you have a look on Google Maps, the 2 big lakes are owned by Bathgate. I'd guess the bigger one is the one where the employees can fish.
Taxmere (about 4 acres) is behind the larger Bathgate lake. This is syndi, if you put Taxmere Fishing in youtube, there's a 11min video of a guy doing a 48hr session on there. Don't know who runs this syndi, can't find anything about it.
Then 100m behind Taxmere is Little Taxmere Syhdicate, looks a bit like a commercial with 3 oblong islands about 1 acre. This used to be day ticket, now syndi, they have a faceache page.

Quick update, i have been granted access to fish the lake whenever I want, apparently there are no carp in there as the pike have eaten them,,,,,mmmm I'm not so sure....ill give it a try and see what happens....if i blank at least i will have an excuse

Ive heard similar today, i picked up my reels from Ant, in alsager, and he said pretty much the same
