Best carp cradle for height? Kneeling, or side sitting is achievable. Getting up's a bugger.
Best bedchair for height only please.
Any other tips to make life a bit easier on the bank with knackered knees😉

not sure about the weight as Solar are not very reliable with their weights its possible its lighter ???

The Nash hi protect cradle is very good plus has a drainage hole in the bottom, it does extend pretty high aswell but I wouldn't want to use it that high though for fish safety

I have a problem getting up from my bedchair because it's so low especially with my little bed. So I have been using six squares of 50mm celotex (rigid insulation).. it weighs next to nothing and easy to get from builder mates. Just put it under the feet. I hollowed a couple of mm from the top to keep them in place.

Like you I have buggered knees. Thankfully I've had one replaced which now makes things a bit easier but I can't kneel on the new one... which is putting me off having the other one replaced.
I have had 4 or 5 years of of messing with different kit to try and make things easier. The trouble is it's always a payoff as often the best is either heavier or bigger, which knackers your knees carting it all about.
I have settled on a Nash wide ss 5 season bed... its very comfortable tall enough for me but weighs a ton. a simple tip is to set your bed up with legs fully extended and adjust down the height the legs if you need to. I also have some blocks that I made which are kept in the car but are rarely used.
I have messed with cradles and found the big nash deluxe with adjustable legs was effective .. but its huge even when packed down. It's much easier to use a floating cradle and do what you need to do in the water if pos.

I can't kneel without having to deal with pain and swelling for days if I'm lucky, I can't use raised cradles as I can't get into a comfortable, solid position to lift a fish while on my haunches with any I've tried.
With my old jrc high care mat or current ta one I can I can get some weight on the top of my shins rather than my knees to help with balance more than anything.

I feel that duggs. Haunches or squatting isn't a deal for me either. Knees just feel like exploding 😆

Like you my knees are screwed, too much sport and long covid...
I went to the Solar Bedchair, very comfortable. I can't give an accurate weight, but with sleeping bag and Ultimate cover folded inside I can lift it by closing strap one handed.
The unhooking mat I use is the big Rod Hutchinson Monster Unhooking Mat. It has a dual purpose, making a good barrow carryall as well as mat. There is a fold down knee mat on the side.
I had to switch away from low chairs and go to a reclining armchair style. For that Sonik SK Armchair.

Nick on the Solar website it states max height is 50cm sometimes the dimensions of Solar products are not accurate do you know if the 50cm is correct ?
my pal is looking at buying this I may do too depending on the max height its this one is it really 50cm max height click on the blue writing

I didn't catch myself, but 7 pike between 8 anglers is a reasonable result.
Reckon I used all my luck for the season a fortnight ago, 9 pike over 2 days, 6 doubles, 2 singles and a 23lb pb

I owe an apology, mine is the Undercover. Just pulled it out the shed after walking the dog.
Height at normal is 30cm, extended 40cm.
