Why are they so good?
What's in them?
Any bait gurus break it down?

Yes fantastic bait caught loads on them over the years.
Old school gaz fareham recipe based on some rod hutchinson classics that they used on redesmere.Novelle fizz and autumn harvest i believe but i am sure someone on here will know more.
The northern special wafters are very good and one of my most consistent baits.

That sounds promising just had 3 tubs delivered can't wait to use the pink wafters

Caught loads on them over the years, and found they would often nick a bite when all was failing.
That said, they're so buoyant now that I can hardly use them. My simple knotless knot doesn't have enough metal to hold them down, a small split shot just doesn't cut it. These days I will slice about a third off and use it to top a trimmed bottom bait in the hope that I can balance it. Sometimes if I don't get it right it still lifts the whole lot up off the deck.

No its not you, I struggled as well. Never used them since.
Shame as the product consistency is marvelous.

The original these are most likely based upon (talking mid/late '90's here) was the IB, formulated by Scott Day, christened by Hamidi, and influenced by the small blister packs of fizz and harvest that Frank Warwick was involved with at Trev's of Wilmslow. So arguably it all goes back to Frank.
The old fizz and harvest no longer available, unless taking a punt for big money.

yes frank's yellow fizz/harvest and pink squid and octopus remember them well, i lot of people ended up using them on a lot of the cheshire waters.
frank wasn't shy in giving advice on recipes and levels, i wouldn't touch any of the older bottles as i think most of them have turned and no longer anywhere near as effective anymore. i know the remaining bottles i have are not the same.
When the northern specials came out i got some and fished them alongside my own fizz harvest on a shallow northern mere where the fish could be seen and really struggled on them yet the fish were readily picking up my own fizz baits

Brilliant hookbaits, they catch all year round, I also use the booster to soak plastic and cork in to top off/balance my tigers and catch loads on them too 👍

Isn't it on the package?
Most Ccmoore pop ups contain talin and butyric acid

I really love these hookbaits, I got every colour mixed into one pot saves me taking 4/5 different pots so just mix them all into one, same with the pop ups. These are the only hookbaits I use in my solid bags now

They are rolled to perfection and very buoyant idea for most heavy modern rigs. But struggled to get bites on them on nearly every water I've fished apart from one lake which they loved them. Maybe it was the ph of the water or make up of the lake bottom who knows....... Wished cc Moore did a wider range of pop ups
