I was after any recommendations of which reel is a good balance for a 10ft spot reel.
I've seen some posts about Wychwood dispatch 7500 and Sonik Vader X 8000 RS, but I wondered whether anyone uses or recommends anything from Diawa or Shimano?

Yeah shimano ultegra XTD spod reel or Daiwa emblem 35 SCW QD spod reel both fine on 10ft spod rods that's what I use

Would the Emblem and Ultegra both be 14000 sized or 5500?

The ultegra XTD spod reel is 14000 size and the emblem 35 SCW QD spod reel is big pit size aswell

I had a Vader rod and reel combo. Switched over to 10ft Dwarfs and kept the Vader reels. No issue's at all with balance, casting etc. Not sure what model Vader it is tho but its probably a couple of years old.

I've got another okuma inception on my 10ft spod, it seems to do the business fairly well but I've not used it enough to gauge longevity.
