I have a set of Free Spirit 13ft Hi-s'ive's and I fancy moving to Harrison blanks.
I like the rods and find I can cast to roughly 130yrds, do bags to roughly 100yrds but am still happy to fish them at 30yrds if needed.
I was wondering g what would be the equivalent Harrison blank to the free spirit?

I have the Torrix 12-6 TE's which can easily achieve the kind of distance you mention. Lovely action under the tip also.
Liking the rod in cork so much I treated myself to another set recently and I don't think you would be disappointed.

I moved from free spirit xsive and got a set of aviator plus haven't used them yet as I'm waiting for a new set off reels 1st they look n feel miles better than my xs ive

Are you sure you want something as powerful as this though as 100y with bags is hardly getting these or Treb Lites bent?

My casting technique is lacking at the moment as I only get to fish 4-5 times a year, but I am hoping to be able to get to go more regularly this year. I used to hit about 160yrds with a baited rig

Why move to Harrison? I still own treb's, aviator+ and some 13ft Hi-s ive. The ive is allways my favourite choise for distance work

I'd personally take the time to go out and try them. A few rod builders offer this service. If your getting a set of 3/4 built it's going to cost a few quid, may aswell know exactly what your getting.
Aviator plus, Trebuchet lights, Cotswolds r1 extremes, there's a vast array and a few more builders have there own designs built by Harrison to spec, worth doing a bit of research and making some calls.
I went to try some aviator pluses when they first come out aswell as some trebuchet lights with dan turtle at Cotswolds rods, left with an order for r1 extremes. What you might want might not be the best thing for you if there's a specific use your getting them built for.

You really need to try the rods out and see what rod is best for you. A little extra effort could save a very expensive mistake and future doubts/itchy feet!
Very personal preference at the level you are looking at, I would say the trebuchet light is a little softer than your Ives and a little more forgiving to cast. Definitely try before you buy and don't overlook century.

I use a set of 25 year old 13' Balisters that do as you do can only echo what others have stated try a few. I have a set of Torrix 3.25 and 2.5 TC rods and use them to fish with mostly. The 12 ft 6 inch 3lb 4 ounce Terry Edmonds something or other Harrison's where a nice blank offering distance and playability
