First post on here, I have been waiting in the wings and ready to go!
Based in Warrington - I am after getting my first 20 this year at a venue within 2 hours.
Any recommendations be really welcome.

There's a few local clubs for you to consider, all of them have waters containing 20's. Lymm AC, Warrington AC, Winsford AC, SOTAS, Northwich. There's also PAAS but that has a 2 year waiting list.
Overall, it's a bit rubbish in this neck of the woods compared to the South. But there are waters with 20's and 30's scattered around. There will be day ticket waters also like Brooms Cross, Commonwood, Lakemore, Baden Hall, Hampton Springs to name but a few. Depends what you're after really.

Don't get hung up on weights , learn enjoy and smell the coffee , but if you do get your target, well done

Wyreside has some decent size fish
Hillside near Burnley- the stock from pendle view went in there. Its a tough fish and a cold hill though...
Leisure lakes Southport isn't huge but there are 20lb plus fish in there
Also Bradshaw in Bolton but it's heavily fished on day tickets and not for those looking for quiet angling and uncaught fish...

Merrington carp fishery would be a good bet for a 20lb fish . As also mentioned the locals club waters will all contain fish of that size .

Get a Warrington A.A. ticket. Plenty of venues within and around the town to catch 20lb carp.

Millbrook fisheries in stoke is a good shout although going to 72hour sessions only this year.
If it's day tickets you are after then you have a good chance at a 20 from any of the below.
Baden Hall, RH Fisheries, Merrington, Cudmore (All within the 2 hours) then there is Norton Disney & Old Mill lakes further afield near Lincolnshire as well,

Ladywood, Emmotland, Cromwell, A1 pits, Monument, Baden Hall, Newhay. All should be within 2 hours and plenty of 20s.
