Has anyone got one of these Fox cradles. Just wondering what the build quality is like and how people are finding them.
Just been looking at these on tinternet as my Trakker Sanctuary Oval Crib has just arrived and I'm not that keen on it (I don't like how the protective cover for securing the carp is stitched in along one side and there are no straps of any kind to compress the mat when in transit so it's huge even when in the stink bag).
The Fox Cradle rather than normal cradles folds width ways instead of hinges in the middle so when packed away, it's 140cm x 20cn by 25cm (that's the XL) and the bag will take a floating retention sling and nets too so that's a plus as everything can be kept together.
Or if anyone has any other recommendations please let me know. Fish welfare must be at the top of the list though but happy to look at framed off the ground cradles or high walled unhooking mats.

I had a bit of a choice to make last year on a cradle, and I was looking at the different models. I wanted something that offered a lot of protection, was a good size and was also sturdy. So I opted for the Nash Deluxe Cradle.
Comes supplied in a nice carry bag with shoulder strap and takes a couple of minutes to put together, and I am really happy with it, particularly as its a bit on the bigger side as I target both cats and carp.

Do the cradles offer good protection to the fish mate and do you find them too big once folded and packed away in the bag. I know anything decent will be bulky but I'd rather get something safe and that will last. The Sanctuary's I can get 15% off the members price at Go Outdoors. They even have the Fox Carp Master XL Cradle reduced to £118 plus the discount on that.

If you want a big framed cradle look at the NGT Euro carp cradle their decent cradle for the money and fold in half

Very easy my Sonik cradle is 120cm so longer than the bars of my net ( i always release the net from the spreader block when the fish is in the net and carry it right into the cradle) Sonik SK-Tek Framed Cradle is also one of the better cradles on the market very well padded

Yes it's a bit pricey but I've struggled long enough with an old one and wanted something decent. It packs away into a rectangular bag which also appealed to me as I didn't have acres of space in the car. Perfect for me and it's well protected but there is a lot of choice out there.
