I have decided on a couple of Okuma reels for my new dwarfs, had a voucher for Christmas for AD, Phoned Swindon out of stock and not got any for the foreseeable, phoned Bristol they checked they also don't have any. 5 minures later Bristol phoned back (Roy) what is it you want again he then checked the system I can find 1 I will call you back once I find another, sure enough several hours later they have found 2. Thank you Bristol AD look forward to picking them up next week.

Glad to see you got what you were after. The guy at AD Bristol went above and beyond with that kind of service. I think that's worthy of a quick email to AD head office. Negative feedback is always reported but none of us tend to praise good work. Nice one.

I live in France now and Angling Direct have been great for me for online sales and delivery. I don't know how they do it but their postage costs are still way less than all the other tackle traders, everything arrives with in days and so far intact. Brexit has effed up postage costs on ebay and for loads of other traders but AD seem to have dodged the Brexit bullet or, all the other traders are taking the opportunity to make a profit on International postage costs. There are loads of good tackle traders in France but there are some things that they don't supply. Also I bought one of AD's own Advanta range carp rods last spring, great little rod, it's been used a lot, it still looks like new, it's a 10' 3.5lb TC rod and is great for about 50 squid.
There's an AD France but they don't hold the same range of stock as the England based stores.
Major moan about Brexit from a carp fishing point of view, it has really messed up the sale of boilies and all baits from England, I think it must be to do with type approval, the new bureaucracy has effectively ended the sale of marques like Nash, Sticky Baits, etc. etc. I can't get my favourites here anymore so I'm now looking into making my own boilies. There are loads of similar French boilies etc. because carp fishing is big here too, but there is nothing like your favourite boilies for giving you confidence in a session.
If anyone wants advice on French carping or France in general PM me, I'm friendly.

Rather than creating another thread in the reviews section, just wanted to sing Angling Directs praises again here.
Been searching online for a Trakker Levelite Transformer chair as i'm starting to feel it in my lower back when I sit on the side of my Bedchair during the day. Found that the cheapest place was Fishingmore.co.uk in Northern Ireland. Wasn't sure about this company as I haven't seen any reviews on them so called AD and they bloody price matched it at £104.99, awesome.
Whilst on the Fishingmore wensite, I also found the Prologic Inspire High Walled unhooking mat which cheapest price elsewhere was £54.99 with a discount code from Total Fishing Tackle. Fishingmore were selling it at a massive discount at £41.99 for the large one. Again AD price matched it so my eldest now has a decent sized unhooking mat with high walls which is a requirement for the water we'll be fishing.
The added bonus of buying with AD is that if there's a fault or problem with it or if I decide I don't like it that I can take it to my local Peterborough branch for a refund or exchange. Win! Win! or every account. Very happy.

I had a result on a Transformer chair from Go Outdoors. Paid £123 and price matched it + 10% to Taskers.
Go Outdoors then refunded me £42 twice lol.
Angling Direct - I went into the Birmingham store (old Fosters) yesterday. It's a big store and had no customers and only 2 staff working. The items I wanted were out of stock. Didn't feel as though they could maintain the site on that basis.
