Just curious if any/many of you incorporate groundbait into your carp fishing, particularly during the winter months?
I used to use it a lot years ago and am planning on giving it another go this winter.
Lots of attraction, next to nothing to fill them up.

Something like the old Nutrabaits Specialist Carpet Feed would have suited your needs perfectly. With a bit of thought you could easily come up with something very similar.

Groundbait is a massively underused tactic these days but they absolutely love it. Make your own, AA baits have a whole host of ingredients to play with

I regularly incorporate the more soluble powders along with cereals into a mix of crushed bait. No exactly a crumb type ground bait in the traditional sense though.
I've never really targeted specimen carp with purely ground bait, always some freebies in as loose feed as well. The crumb is vulnerable to other species I find

It's a great tactic Andy, these days myself I just use breadcrumb & vitalin as the base, some blitzed corn & boilie, fish sauce or hydro to finish off.
Had fish on a deep water appear from the depths to watch/follow down a matchbox size bit of groundbait, as you say plenty of attraction and they work hard for their meal.
Be interesting to hear how you get on with it.

Cheers, I used it a lot back in the 90's.
I've already had a box of goodies delivered and will hopefully give it a go this weekend.
Lots of soluble attraction packed into a brown crumb base, plus some of the attractors
put into a paste to wrap a small boilie hookbait.
