Been looking at lead setups, I normally use an inline lead but have seen a lot of people using lead clips. Does that mean they drop the lead from every take or can it be adjusted so that doesn't happen? I feel like using an inline lead could effect rig presentation on certain lake beds, any advice ?

No they don't drop the lead every time. It depends on how far you push the tail rubber on.

As plumb48 says, they don't drop the lead every time. If your lake isn't particularly weedy or snaggy then you'll lose even less. Rough estimate - I drop about 20% of mine; I can live with that kind of number.

It depends on how far you out the tail rubber on, the size of the lead itself, and what lead clip you use. The Korda hybrid leadclips are a nightmare for dropping leads, they seem to drop no matter what which isn't something I want. The standard Korda versions are spot on though , and with the rubber pushed on a little way won't drop on the take but only if it gets caught up in weed or something which is perfect imo.
