Just to clarify that the LFT test has to be taken within 2 days of returning to the UK and has to be arranged before you complete the locator form which has to be done 48 hours before returning to the UK, think I have got that right, hope so anyway as I am going to Spain in 2 weeks.

And self isolation until you've received a negative result.

Taken from gov.uk

If you're travelling to England from abroad you must take a PCR test before the end of day 2 following your arrival and self-isolate until you get a negative test result, even if you're fully vaccinated.

If you're a contact of someone who may have been infected with the Omicron variant, you must self-isolate for 10 days, regardless of your age, vaccination status or any negative test results.

For double vaccinated - Currently PCR test before you go, PCR or Lateral Flow test before you come back and a PCR test on day 2 after arriving back, you'll need to quarantine until you get your result.

Note, from early next year you'll also need to have had the booster jab to travel to France.

All they were interested in going out was proof of vaccination (at French customs), just passport at UK.

And you'll need to complete a passenger locator form before you come back to UK.
