Need to redo my spod braid and have been looking at Daiwa J Braid X8 following some positive reviews on here.
Does anyone know the difference between the standard X8 braid and the X8 Grand?
Cant seem to find anything definitive online so don't know which one to go for.

The Grand version is more abrasion resistant,the strands have been packed more tightly giving a more round profile.It casts better as it is more aerodynamic and hydrodynamic

I use the standard J braid on my spod set up and recently put the Grand on my fishing rods. Actually much preferred the normal. Despite the spiel from Daiwa the braid seemed tighter on the original, I also had a couple of wind knots with the Grand that I've never had with the standard.
