Had a recent good experience with SCARY HOOKBAITS which I thought I'd share. Haven't used them before, just came across them on the internet. Their wafters are only £4.39 a tub, so I thought I'd give it a go at that price level. They also do hard hookers @ £5.39/tub and corkball pop ups @ £9.39/tub.

So, I was ordering on Saturday night after a few beers, the best time to buy things I find. I added 3 x pots of wafters to my basket, and went to checkout but unfortunately it wouldn't let me as it "couldn't calculate shipping". I contacted them via their website, got a quick emailed response that it was sorted, back to the website, £9 for postage!! So I went back to them, saying it was a bit steep, got an immediate reply that said it shouldn't be that, it should be £3.20 for 3 x pots. It is apparently a common problem on their website. The guy who was answering - Rich - told me to order and he would do a refund, which I did and the refund came back immediately. Asked for a couple of free samples also, which he said OK to.

Baits received today, and I have to say, they look and smell excellent. Gave me some free samples of 2 flavours of bait, they came with about a dozen baits for each flavour. All in all, a good experience, Rich was very helpful and hats off to him. I'll give you an update after I've used them, but I'm pretty sure they'll catch.

PS, they have an ebay shop also, which had exactly the same problem with postage costs. So, if you have a similar issue when you checkout, just contact them and they will sort it. Rich did say he would try to sort it out though on both platforms.

Sounds like a whole load of trouble to order some hook baits in Korda goo but understand there must be a market for this stuff.

Not really any hassle, just a couple of emails. Also, not all of their baits have goo on - the 3 that I ordered didn't. And bearing in mind some companies charge £45 for a tub of baits, then I'd much prefer £4 a tub and a couple of emails.

If your happy with what you have purchased and supporting a small business then sounds perfect. I didn't mean for my below comment to sound ****ty, just that I wouldn't chase a company to try and order a few pots of hook baits. Hopefully he can sort his website and enjoy easy sales in the future.
