I am looking to put some new spod braid on my spod and marker reels I currently have 30lb whiplash on which is ok i only put this back on as I had problems with the Korda spod braid with the braided shockleaders slipping has anyone used the spomb braid

TF gear banana braid in 30lb used it for years without any problem

Daiwa J braid x8 in 40lb straight through or 20lb with a leader.

I use J Braid on my lure rods and never had a problem with it

If you're feeling flush then PowerPro is generally regarded pretty highly

I would say J Braid x8 as well but it is the same as the Korda spod braid that you had trouble with. It is a smoother finish which is what's good about it meaning you don't have to keep wetting it BUT, you do have to be careful with braid to braid knots, from memory I used a Mahin with 10 down and 6 back and leave half inch tag ends, that stopped any slipping. As suggested you could go heavier straight through.

Another vote for Spectra. I use an Arma kord leader with it.
