are they any sleep systems that come with an oversize top layer? i use a mf60 compact and the bag could do with been a little more bigge rin widith, found it with my older ss3 system aswell

Not quite sure what your after but the Nash winter shroud is great bit of kit. Very, very warm, waterproof and comes in different size, so you can buy oversize if you want.

I'm oversized and the Nash widebody provides ample space for the usual twisting and turning before nodding off at the end of a hard day's fishing 👍.

Being able to swap top layers between frames seems a good idea but I'd guess the layout of the zips would be different so may not work

bed width is ok for me, just could do with a bigger zip on top layer(bag)

I have a Avid Benchmark X and find there's plenty of wiggle room for me, but could do with more room for my feet. I sleep on my back and with size 13 feet there's a bit of pressure on my feet due to there not being enough material at the foot end.

I'd say a larger SS would be better for you than your compact.
