You can do it like this. say for instance you want to search for baitrunner
In the google search bar type
site:www.carpforum.co.uk "baitrunner"

Your Google technique will only bring up results for threads which are currently on the main site.

Once a thread/topic has been archived, it is no longer visible.

@Jamie: I am searching now, no joy so far
