Hi All,

I managed to pick up a few 10ft 1.75 lb Scope rods for a reasonable price. Has anyone owned these and if so do you think they would be any good for Perch fishing or too overgunned? I only got them on a whim really as they seem lovely light rods. I did consider using one for floater carp fishing but I think it may be a little too light for that for fish up to 40lb.

I've got a pair of the 1.75 and love them. They are great for chub fishing and tench fishing. I've had a few mid double figures carp off the top with them too and that is great fun.
I've caught some smaller fish when chub fishing and a 2-3lb fish will still put a decent bend in them but I would say they are a little heavy for perch.,,
