Hi all,

I'm off to France in a couple of weeks and brought some thicker wire hooks (JP Precision Size 2 Euro Curve XT & Gardner Continental Mugga Size 2) but now I've come to make rigs up and the Ronnie Swivels & the Bait Screw 'O' rings are too small for the beefed up hooks.

Any one know companies that do larger options for bigger hooks?

I've looked around but the Ronnie Swivels all seem the same, and typing in large bait screws only brings up longer screws but obviously I'm not after the screw section being longer.

I did look on there but the Ronnie Swivels are the same size as the ones I have. They do have a bait screw option with an additional swivel that might work though.

I've dropped them a message anyway to see what they suggest.

I found the same with size 2 fox hooks. I use micro ring swivels which go over the hook fine. I found i had to open the ronnie swivels out slightly and then close them a little with pliers. I then shrink tube them and use the esp clips. Find it much more user friendly for quick hook changes.

Alternatively, just use a normal size 11 swivel or ring swivel and tie the hook to it with braid

I just realised I do have some size 4's both same styles as the 2's so I may just go down a size and they seem to fit fine.
