I've always seen hemp at it's most effective when it's fresh out the pan. Warm hemp going in can really get them going.
Having used old hemp that's on the verge of turning in the past my conclusion is fresher the better.

I agree with that. If it starts to smell a bit funky i bin it. It might still work but i have no confidence in sour hemp.

Did very well on it a few weeks back. It was out of necessity, but still. Never been one to bin buckets of particles as I've always caught just the same.

TCarper and his garlic hemp is what you want to look out for if you want to go down this route. Ive personally never tried it but the results speak for themselves. I've always preferred hemp freshly boiled and well split, almost nutty smelling. Used to cook up batches in a pressure cooker on Horseshoe on the bank and spod it out warm
. Never did that well when it went on the turn

I tried TC's garlic hemp on a very difficult pit that hadn't done a fish in months as far as I know. To be fair I was fishing a spot that had produced for me in the past under similar circumstances, time of year/same moon phase etc and as it turned out I had two fish. Now was it that I was just there at the right time, was it the fact I was also using the Nutriplex or was it just the hemp, probably never know. I'll tell you what though, I was gagging when I was cooking it, it's a god awful stink that's for sure, does last for ages once you add the salt and hemp oil though. Used what I had left on my regular lake and caught loads of tench

How do you prepare TC garlic hemp
How do you prepare TC garlic hemp
Recipe pls!! 😂
I had a go at TC fermenting hemp. It was absolutely vile I had to get up at 5am just to boil it up in the garden the whole garden smelt of what I can only describe as sick. It had me gagging from start to finish it's just downright criminal. I never caught but if truth be told if I had a session of a lifetime I still wouldn't do another batch. My garden is fairly small and the only drain is under the kitchen window 😂. Lesson learnt NEVER again.
