I am going to France next year and I would like information on test curve. As far as I know the test curve has to do with the distance you can cast and not the size of fish, as I will be using a bait boat I would like to know if my 2.75 is going to be enough?

Probably, unless you need to use a very heavy lead to hold bottom, in which case your going to need to drop the lead. If your boating baits out you don't need a big casting tool.

yes IMO
I always used 2.75lb unless I needed to cast a long way but if I boated out either rowing or bait boat 2.75lb is perfect everyone of the fish I caught over fifty pounds were caught on those including my French PB of 68lb and my English fifty pounder plus a few Cats and Sturgeon never had any problems
