long shot but can anyone tell me if a Trakker front bag will fit the Fox Explorer barrow ?
as its half the price of the Fox version

Which Trakker one is it you're looking at Gerry the nxg compact barrow bag does not have the sleeve to secure it to your front bar I don't think

It's 13cm's wider that the fox but the end pockets look bigger on the trakker

Im pretty sure it would fit, as its larger, the basic principle is a sleeve over the frame so it shouldnt matter too much although it may slew from side to side if the sleeve is wider than the frame but im pretty sure a fella with a bit of common sense could just stick a stitch or two in it to keep the bag central or even stick a block of wood on each side to pack it tight..
Im toying with the idea of getting my rucksack to sit on the front somehow as i find it fits more stuff in it but then id lose my makeshift bivvy table... Oh the traumas

A bit of a curve ball but if your fox barrow front bar has a support bar, i use an ESP bag which i have had for 20 years and sit it on support bar and the over shoulder strap goes around upright bars and holds it there. Used it on various carpporters with no problem.No sleeve required just a shoulder strap.

A deviation from the question posted but does anyone else find fitting the front bag to the Explorer barrow a complete pain? I note the 2nd gen bag has Velcro on the securing strap rather than being a closed loop of material.

I took my mk1 barrow bag to a local seamstress who simply cut the sleeve in half and overlocked the ends.
Then she put velcro on it just like the Fox mk2 version...job done...I think she charged me a fiver.

100% yes my Fox Camolite Barrow Bag was soo tight its now ripped one end of the sleeve out
the original Fox Voyager front barrow bag had a velcro sleeve and wasnt a problem
