Cutting my gear down again, and my sling is the last thing needs to go. I have a trakker flotation sling, and it weights a tonne and is massive. I use it to weigh fish and retain them.

Do people still use sacks? Can anyone recomended sack that is also a weigh sling, does that exist?

Or is there a flotation sling that isnt 4ft long and 4kg like my trakker one.

Wychwood do a carp sack / weigh sling

The Wychwood one is great,folds up into a little pocket that stays attached to the sling.

Thank you gentlemen. Seems rediculous carrying a huge sling i rarely use.

I got the Wychwood. It's ok but I'd not use it for bigguns. Even a low 30 pretty much fills it.

It doesn't help from the weigh sling POV but Nash used to do a little bit of kit that converts your landing net into a retention sling.

One of those and a lightweight weigh sling wouldn't be a bad shout.
