Ive just recently found out there is a a database of deeper maps you can access as a member. I signed up out of curiosity to have a look at a local water i heard was on there.
Am i doing something wrong on the website or are these maps absolutely usless? They show the water as being 100% scanned, but the water in question has enormous visiable underwater features that dont show up on the maps. Other local lakes show the center of the islands as the deepest parts.
Have i not looked at them right, or is this why there are always so many for sale, are they that useless?

Your doing nothing wrong bud, the whole thing is rubbish and completely useless. The lakes near me was saying 2ft for the whole lake from the margins to the deepest part of the lake which is actually about 8/9 ft but without the membership it shown up perfectly what I've scanned

Mine is saying 60ft across the whole lake when in fact the deepest place is around 10/11ft

how come they are so incorrect. Is it more accurate when you map it yourself?
Weird. Works perfectly fine here. You lot sure you've not bought moody deepers?
There might be a foot or threes variation deepening on what time of year the scans have been taken?

I find them extremely accurate. My little syndicate is only about a two acre round brick pit, so easy to map fairly quickly. It has three foot margins in places but goes down to over twenty feet in some areas. We mapped it when no one was there with the deeper and printed the map out. We've since checked it with a normal marker float set up and it's been spot on every time. I can only think there's been some sort of software glitch when it's making the maps available on line.

It's got to be a glitch in the Matrix. Loads of places I've fished before that I've never cast a deeper about in show up the correct depths that I remember from memory.when I look at the online maps.

I believe that if the lake is partially scanned the software will automatically generate the rest of the map.
So it all depends on how much of the lake has actually been scanned.

Must be. One whole area of one lake it shows a really in depth detailed map of the bottom. But i know its incorrect because that section of the lake is covered in grass and theres no water

When scanning with my deeper itself I get perfect readings mate never had a fault with my deeper, this is on about the deeper subscription it's meant to save you even having to scan the lake apparently it's already been done for you but I can tell you now it ain't 🤣

Yeah Rich, I'm talking about their database too.
I've only ever scanned one place, a load of others that I've fished or know the depths of elsewhere are showing up the correct depths if I zoom in on on the web based app database you get access to. Like I said there is a few feet here and there's difference depending I'm guessing when others have scanned pit X like some might have been scanned in the winter and others in the summer, other than that, all the info is there.
One place a mate had a very early on sonar, like back in the 90's who told me the exact spot where he found a 50ft on this vast pit, hey presto, shows up the exact spot on Deepers maps as 50ft, neither him or myself had made that scan.

Might just be the further up the country you go or more popular the lake is the more detailed or right the scan is, a couple lakes near me there is a 8/10ft difference in what the database scan says and what my actual deeper says plus what I no is true buddy, even Coking Farm depths are very very wrong well was when I last checked anyway
