Having a bit of fun on some local runs waters between time spend on a difficult syndicate,. I have decided to purchase a set of sonik xtractors as my 12 and 13 FS are a complete overkill for these small waters. I do fancy a set of 9fts as I have a set of 10fts though a light test cure 2lb that aren't ideal for bag work. I am worried the 9s might feel like broom sticks does anybody have any advice to offer?

These are a bargain at the moment on AD. I've had the 9ft 3lb mark 1s which had issues with the tip snapping but they are all sorted now and comparable to the xtractors. I now have 10ft xtractors 3.25lb, I use these up to 100 yards with ease, nice to play fish on, if I went back to 9s I'd go max 3lb. Extractors I believe only go to 3lb in 9ft while the dwarves go down to 2.75. £35 for one is mad

I've just bought a set of three 10ft Nash Black OP Scopes in 3.5 TC for bag work (pictured) and I have to say what a beautiful set of rods. All my fishing is big bags (4-8oz) and these cope perfectly.
A bit more pricey than the Sonik's but some lovely finishing touches on them 👍
