As above, I see there is quite a few that vary in price . Anyone used or have one which is high quality and durable etc? Price not really an issue as long as it folds and fits into Quiver. Cheers all

I've had the Cygnet Euro V1 for over 5 years, it's light and does the job well...however...the legs can slip if you weigh bigger fish (40+). You can tighten the screws even more than you would do normally but even then I've had a leg slip and it might dent the tube.
Personally I'd be looking at cam lock versions if bigger fish were a regular happening and I see Cygnets V2 now have Camlock and thicker tubing, might be a good shout.

Daiwa infinity tripod is good.
Weighs about 2 kilos, legs aren't adjustable, but it's solid and reliable.

are these really worth the extra money / luggage ? i've been doing okay using a sturdy branch so far ... not sure if I'm missing something

Useful for bigger fish as far as I'm concerned.
I did fine with a crook thing on the end of my landing net handle for years, but with 40lb plus fish it's nice to have the tripod directly over the mat.

Yep, the older you get the lower the weight of fish required to make the needle dance like a jibbering wreck when holding by hand

Another shout for the Daiwa infinity.
Finally gave in and bought one second hand as struggling with pole/crook or lifting by hand.
Very pleased I did, strong,lightweight, takes up very little room and certainly does the job.

Depends on how big a fish you want to weigh on it ?
I have a Nash Weigh Tripod its big and heavy 6kg ish but it can support fish to 200lb biggest I have weighed was a 119 lb catfish ( not mine lol)
so depends on what your fishing for

Bought a Nash one atleast 15 years back with droppable legs, probably same as Gerrys, weighs a ton and it's still mint. Not sure if the same quality/weight these days?
