Does anyone know where you can purchase Hydro Wheat without paying Carp Tax.
BAF ask for too large quantities and other places like DNA are pricey.
Also the same with Beta Stim liquid if anyone could help?
Thanks

As i understand it BAF/DNA buy it in by the tanker load (min order)and distribute it throughout the industry so the closest you are likely to get to source is BAF.
Jason touches on it on his DNA podcast

It is used for liquid feeding pigs a few years ago there were two by products from the manufacture of wheat Gluten one was call Abracarb and the other Abrapro as the names suggests one Carbohydrate and the other higher in protein.
The price was based on the price of wheat and will still be based on the price of wheat as the bulk of it will still be fed to pigs. It will cost around 20 pence per litre for Abracarb and 25 pence for Abrapro maybe a bit more, based on bulk lorry loads, but on the whole cheap as chips no actually cheaper than chips.
What's so special about it ? All Hype people with loud voices making loads of money out of it.
I would suggest you try and test for yourselves whether it is worth putting into a bait.

The price of it is comparable to wheat prices currently £204.60
Just checked one product for feeding pigs
Dry matter 26%
Protein 11-14% there are 6 different grades up to 23 to 26 %
the first one will be similar to wheat nutritionally, and this will be the cheapest.
So roughly it will £51 per tonne but to be competitive against the use of whole wheat it will be quite a bit less than the price of whole wheat in reality. Although I would think it would be purchased in IBC's not tanker loads as stated by a previous poster ,so it will cost more ,but I will work on the above figures for now.
So working from the above price on par with the wheat price it would be £51 per tonne ,it will weigh heavier than plain water so an IBC may weight in at say 1200 kg meaning the cost of the liquid wheat in an IBC will be around £61.20 or to put it another way 6.1 pence per litre.
20 litres cost for material £1.22 one companies selling price for 20 litres about £85
When purchased in a IBC the liquid could be twice the cost and then there is the cost of the IBC about £60.00
so maybe
1 Tonne @ 12.2 pence per litre £122
1 IBC £60.00
Total £182 or 18.2p per litre £3.64 for 20 litres

I feel sure that your suggestion has merit in its own right.
