What are peoples thoughts on using two separate baits in their freebies? If so what is the thinking behind it? I use two together but only really for another way of getting attraction into the swim. Questioning if it's worth doing or not.
Al be using 5 different baits tomorrow to keep them guessing al be using maple peas maize tiger nut and s7 and slk boilies have been doing it a while now and done well fishing like that

I have done quite well using 3 different baits in a freebie mix; Creamino, Atlantic Heat and Royal Marine boilies + fishery pellet. All have different attractants, flavours, colours, possibly breakdown times. Keeps them guessing

I always use a fish meal bait along side a nut mix, I've found on some lakes they prefer sweet baits over fishy and vice versa so I just fish both together all year round so you get best of both worlds 👍

I've always carried a fish meal (now Krill) and a alternative (as of the last 15 years a nut mix but before that a birdfood based boilie). At the lake I fish they have a definate preference for the Krill boilie, I fished a nut boilie along side it for a season and there was no comparison, however I still put the nut in to mix things up.
I'm biased based on my experience in that a alternative boile has often caught a fish for me which hasn't come to the other 'main' bait.

When im fishing a new venue or a place i dont fish regularly i use a mix of 3 or 4 boilies. But if its a regular venue and im prebaiting, i use just one, in an aim to get them used to that one bait to the point they actively look for it.
Thats the theory anyway.

Are you all using different hookbaits too or sticking with the same one on all rods?
