Good evening...
I've just bought a brand spanking new,txi plus from my local shop,...
I can't get it to recognise the reciever,I have factory reset the reciever a few times,but no,this new head won't work .the old heads I can programme any configuration no problem..
Or,is this new head a duffer...
Any thoughts,much appreciated before I take the new one back or phone Delkim

Sometimes older receivers need a firmware upgrade to work with newer heads

Not trying to be funny but didn't the shop offer to set them all up for you? I brought a brand new set from poindeste in Southampton and thay set them up for me with out asking. I'm normally OK with that sort of thing but I new I'd struggle so asking them and done them free of charge

See I like my delks,Mrs bought em when we didn't have much money so ...anyway I wanted a spare 4th...
So I'll phone Mr Delks tomorrow, see what he says..I'll mentioned about this firmware upgrade..

I think it's something to do with the alarms code number. The older receivers could understand numbers up to a certain code, but I think in the end they made more txi than expected so the newer heads are out of range so to speak. But they can sprinkle the receivers in a magic pixie dust and then they can understand big numbers.
It's a bit like me when I used to run out of fingers when counting until I discovered I could use my eleven toes.

Had the same problem a few years back I bought a 4th newer TXi than the current three that I'd had for years, so after a phone call to Delkim I had to send the receiver off for a chip upgrade or something or other that fixed the problem but then two of the older heads would crackle like radio interference so sent these back and receiver were looked at and fixed then blow me the other heads started doing the same.

I've had two sets of ECU's only got the one now I sold one set the Mk1 original compacts to a mate cheap as I'd picked a set of the Mk1 plus compacts up off another mate, I swapped him for a set of NTXR's I had as he couldn't get on with them he said they felt too small after his old set of alarms, I like them a lot then another mate seen mine and ordered the bug eyes, never knew these were out so probably another purchase on the cards for me now.
