Can anyone suggest a big pit/reservoir to fish in the Essex area?

I watch Dave Lane's videos on the Island lake and the new Terry H video and the lakes they're fishing look huge and I'd love to fish somewhere like them.

I currently fish a small weedy Syndicate where there's often only a few people fishing at a time.
I've seen Berners Hall, Crowsheath and Chigbourgh which all look reasonably large but they all seem day tickets and are jam packed, shoulder.

Would love to try fishing somewhere big!

Some very good fish in Ardleigh.
I had a few including a brace of 20lb fully scaled fish years ago.
Circumstances meant I only spent a year or two on there and I never got the urge due to personal issues to go back.

Plenty of legwork, look for fish then try to beat them into an area if they are on the move, or set up on them quietly if they are staying still.

I have seen anglers pile bait in on top of fish and then watched the carp bow wave away against the wind.
